Hey guys! I will now also be walking at the Western Sydney Melanoma March on Sunday 1st March at Weir Reserve in Penrith! We have already walked from Coogee to Bondi and back and we have so far raised nearly $3,000!

As you know I am battling stage 4 melanoma and has been for the past nearly six years. I have been on multiple treatments but my body has built up a resistance and they have stopped working. I have recently started a new trial. By going on a trial I hope to find my magic potion that will finally cure me of this black beast!

FACTS:

- Australia has the highest melanoma rates in the world. It is expected that 16,000 people will be diagnosed with melanoma this year. That means one person is told they have melanoma every 30 minutes. 

- Melanoma is the most deadly form of skin cancer. It is estimated 1300 people will die from melanoma in Australia this year. 

- Melanoma is the most common cancer affecting 20 to 39-year-old Australians.

- Melanoma is the third most common cancer in Australian men, after prostate and colorectal cancer.

- Melanoma is the third most common cancer in Australian women, after breast and colorectal cancer.

The amazing team at Melanoma Institute Australia conduct vital research, trails and provide treatments to melanoma patient. We need to keep funding this research to find more treatment options until there are no deaths from Melanoma! All successful treatments with a trial.
